Most of our repeaters are open for public use while others may be reserved for member use only. Please reference FCC Part 97.205(e) - it says "Limiting the use of a repeater to only certain user stations is permissible" and we use this provision as appropriate to implement our charter.
Members have control operator status for the entire system. Non members, including visitors, must ask permission to control. We feel a responsible repeater custodian must assure those controlling have the appropriate training and authority.
Donations of equipment, funds, and time support our growth, maintenance, public service activities, and operational costs. We gladly take donations and purchase or share equipment for expansion of system capabilities and to assist with development of RF links in other Nevada locations.
